Its simple, i don`t want people to ruin their fun. I speak of experience, i have over 1600 hours of playtime on this network and i ruined my own fun several times. Nothing more nothing less. And as i said, just my personal opinion, in the country where i live its allowed to share that :p

And in the country I'm from, one is allowed to give a differing opinion as well.

What you consider fun and what someone else considers fun might be two different things.

Me? I enjoy being able to /craft instead of heading back to a crafting table.

To remove /op perks for everyone because you don't want to play with them is not a good reason to remove them, when as it stands you don't have to do anything special to not use them.

./craft is a cool thing, i like it as well.
But in a pack where you start from nothing and it is a huge challenge to get your first bucket, don`t you think that /kit resource -> boom, get stacks of all resources that would otherwise take huge efforts to obtain is meant to be from the guys that make these mod packs?
    My guess: no.

Someone grab the sunscreen, the arrogance is radiating from this side of the equator..

Honestly, he put forward his views, in a thread he clearly stated was for discussion, and you jumped on the offensive instead of considering why, and debating calmly back.

/op perks is the norm for servers.

I would think most of the mod pack makers wouldn't like it on any of their packs.

    But they are there.

Why is this pack so different?

Because its a skyblock? /op perks were available on AG, on CL, on Thaumic skies.

Because of harder progression? /op perks are available on infinty evolved expert right now.

Why should this pack be different?

I agree that there's no reason to remove the ability for donors to use their abilities. If you are a donor and don't want to use your donor perks for this pack then don't do it, but I for one do enjoy the ability to skip some of the resource gathering and get a bit of a jump start on things. If it's another skyblock pack then treat it like the current skyblocks. I understand what people are getting at that these packs are meant to be played in a certain way with the given progression, but I've never noticed my donor perks ruining the quest system. And even if they do give you an advantage in the short-term, if the task needs to be completed to progress you'll have to do it anyway, right? Donor perks just make progression faster usually. Even the /shop items, if you want to progress in the questbook you usually have to craft whatever you bought anyway.

    Just my personal experience/opinion.

Honestly I don't think my progression was particularly broken on inf evolved because of my kits and perks. Having played other skyblocks, it really just depends on the pack. Evolved is rough even with them. As long as we're not talking pvp, there's no such thing as "advantage" over other players, though. If someone feels like they got the short end of the stick because someone progressed faster, they too can purchase a donor tier. It's easy to do. And if money is an issue, you can sell your blood plasma for enough to buy t5 within a month.
