Decided Against Vein miner

It breaks it if you are holding a hotkey and puts it into your inventory if your pick can mine it from durability, so it isn't too bad for TPS

 

If the players use dev nulls for mining then yes. Sadly not everybody does this and leave stacks of cobble stone lying on the ground.

 

in general people do use /dev/nulls for a reason, that being it

 

I would say only about 40-70% use them

 

Vein miner isnt that bad because instead of droping items everywhere it piles them at your feet making items stack. Less render less lag.

Also if u dont wanna use it dont install it.

 

i kinda wanted to bring this back up with my new donator rank and all im able to to god command but fly is disabled? any explanation there?

Personally I feel that it should only be included in the modpacks that include it. The pack creators design their packs, and 99% of the time adding vein miner will break many aspects of the mod. I saw leave it in the packs that have it their by default, but please don't add it to other packs.

 

What about packs that dont have hammers lumberaxes etc.

uh good question galaticraft science for one but it wont be added there.

 

I do believe that all of the FTB / ATLauncher packs either have Tinkers or a "Mine more then one block at a time" alternative.

You need to not only consider Tinkers, but the following mods as well that have tools that are basically rendered worthless for mining:

• Tinkers (as stated above)
• Blood Magic
• Botania
• Mekanisms
• Industrial Craft
• Steves' Carts
• Draconic Evolution Axes

 

And thaumcraft/thaumic tinkerer

In all honesty. I think it will be funny to have Vein miner on GS. But Caithleen wont let me cause it breaks the game
