Hello everyone, I am more than willing to help with the Pixelmon server. I grew up with Pokemon and I was thrilled to see there was a really good Minecraft mod that made it so you could travel around and find these critters in the wild. One of the first major packs I played on was the 1.10 Pixelmon, and quickly I noticed some of the same issues that have been stated here already, the map was small, and it felt smaller not having a farm world, so everyone was mining in the overworld. That being said, I'd love to work on making the 1.10 Pixelmon Server better.
Right want my full advise for this issue as of today I have intel to say pixelmon will be releasing there new version within the next 5 days upon release testing should be done to insure its not broken like Beta6 was and Beta11 n such Upon finishing of tests A FULL update should be issued AND a full reset should be done. Ditto-ditto legendary breeding should be removed this should of never been added in it ruined the game-play. Blacklisting should be enabled to stop mass income gain, IE energy powder stuff that can be mass made. Myms/Votes should be added so you can transfer Myms-pixelmon coins. Map needs to be increased alot. 10k blocks is hardly worth large for a mod that requires you to search for shrines n stuff a shop plugin needs to be added like the 1.7.10 server had with a increase the stupid rule on claiming world-gen pixelmon structures can be abolished the rule was never needed There needs a set of gyms n such spawn needs to be smushed and rebuilt better the spawn on the server is nice but as a server spawn its hardly workable I am fully aware upon the difficulty on whats happening and lack of staff able to sort issues is a pain yes but it can be done i speak for me and necro6300 we are willing to help bring the server to its potential that mym can give i have offered to help in the past
Bare in mind, these are my personal thoughts and do not reflect staff as a whole: I have a concern with claiming World-Gen Structures... I understand why the rule was put into place at least as far as Haunted Towers are concerned. These are world generated structures with Poke-Spawners, with the one at the top set to ALWAYS Spawn a boss. If we allow users to claim these towers, they will privatise these boss-fights, and it will severely affect the market on loot given by bosses. I suggest having these admin claimed for public use, or if we bring back the Safari Zone world-edit them out. Shines, it depends how they are set... if we're making them multiple-use then I'd say no, players should not be allowed to claim them... as that would create monopolies on the legendaries that they are used to spawn. If they're one-time-use and the server sells individual shrines like in 1.7, yes they could be claimed. Pokecenters and PokeMarts I can see both sides of the argument and honestly, I don't see a problem with these being torn down or claimed... I'd love to hear someone else's thoughts on these structures. I believe Ditto x Ditto breeding resulting in legendaries was enabled to combat Moltres and Zapdos otherwise being impossible to acquire, assuming there is access to Static and Fiery Shrines, I would definitely turn this back off.
^ this is the only server i mean ONLY server that has this rule and the ONLY reason this rule was in is because of the map being so small there are like 20 towers total on this server within a 10k-10k area increase that area to 100-200k and then there would be no issues i would recommend insted of the no build/claim rule there should be a open rule so players can build/ claim them but require them to be accessable to the public and the ditto-ditto was enabled from the getgo before the shrines were even rearlised shrines should be removed from game completly to stop this and added into the shop like on 1.7.10
Ok, so we have some players, I assume more will come out of the woodwork as we progress. We have a staff member willing to dedicate them self to the server. All we need now is for some higher up approval. In hopeful anticipation, I will reach out to the Pokemon dev's and see what helpful information they might provide. @recaltotal please msg me when you get a chance.
"Accessible to the Public" defeats the purpose of claiming, and like Shrines I'd remove them as well and a Safari Zone dimension for those who want to grind through wild pokemon.
