This Guide is made mainly for Monster, but can be used by everybody else. What is it about? Beginners Guide for Monster Rules on MineyourMind - Monster Commands to use How to get on the Server? There are more than two options how to get on the Server. I will mention the two major options: The First is to install the Mym Launcher (Link) and start it from there, the second option is the ftb (Feed the Beast) Launcher, install Monster. With the Mym Launcher you have all the ip-adresses given and you dont need to change anything. With the ftb Launcher you need to change a few settings. Join Us - MineYourMind 5.0 There you can find what to change. For the ftb Launcher add the ip: "monster.mineyourmind.net" then you are ready to conntect to the server. FTB Monster Lobby Server IP: monster.mineyourmind.net West Server IP: m-west.mineyourmind.net South Server IP: m-south.mineyourmind.net East Server IP: m-east.mineyourmind.net New on the Server, what now? You Starterkit will be: Stone (Sword, Shovel, Pickaxe and Axe) Bread (12) Steaks (8) Iron Leggins Iron Boots Leather Tunic Leather Cap Golden Shovel (Protection Shovel) On Monster when you started, you are on the Lobby server, called "Spawn". Before you start with something you need to read the rules carefully. do: /rules read them /rules 2 read them /acceptrules Also read the website rules for further informations: Rules - MineYourMind 5.0 Keep in mind, breaking blocks even on unclaimed land, is considered as griefing which will be punished with a ban! If you have read the rules and accepted them, now lets begin with the real world of Monster. You are staying in the Monster Lobby server, called "Spawn". You can decide between the following Servers to live and build in: East South West Each direction is its own Server. You can teleport between the Servers, but you cant send ressources or energy via tesseracts or something similiar. If you go through a portal, each server has its own, "Wheat-Farm" at the spawn, here you can get bread, so you dont die from starvation. Once you have decided which Server you want to live in, go through the portal and look for a nice place to live in. Try to make a stick. With a stick righclick on the ground, you can check for claimed land. If you find a claim, the Glowstone Blocks are marking each corner of the claim. Try not to build too near to another claim, as it might be disturbing for them. You can also use "/rt" for random teleport. With this method you can teleport around and you can be faster looking for a nice place to stay. If you found a nice place, use the golden shovel to claim it. Here is a link how to use it correctly Use "/sethome" at your home that you can teleport back with /home home. Or use /sethome <name> to use /home <name> to teleport back. Every new player has just one homepoint. Look in the shop for more informations how to get more homepoints: Shop - MineYourMind 5.0 Next use the /spawn command to get back to the Lobby Server on Monster. This is the Entrance to the Farmworld: Spoiler Go into the small room, to get to the farmworlds. Spoiler On the right, if you follow the way, you will get to the quarry world on the left you have the Mining/Turtle World. The Farmworlds get from time to time a reset. Once in a couple of months. So building a base there, is not probably not the best idea, if you want to keep it. Spoiler There is also the Portal for the Nether, The End, Twillight Forest and the Deep Dark. For each portal you need a "onetime pay" to get access to this world. Except the Nether the other worlds are only reachable on Lobby. Spoiler If you are looking for animals and plants to collect, look for them on the mining world or quarry, there you will have more luck. How do I get money? Voting (each time of voting give you 100 claimblocks and 60 myms, means 160 myms worth each vote) Stay on the Server (you will get a small amount of money after staying for a specific period, each day) Sell Stuff at the market (look for it at the spawn) Change claimblocks into money (check for each server how many claimblocks you have there. Each server has their own claimblocks. )
The Market You can buy and sell items at the market. The Market cut is about 18%. So whenever you are selling items, you will receive not 100% of the money which you are selling it for. To watch the items in the market, type in the chat /market listings or talk to the NPC called "Ket Market". "Kai Shop" is selling and buying claimblocks for myms. But dont forget, you are just selling or buying them at the spawn. So for example your claimblocks you buy at the spawn, arent the same on east. Because each server has their own claimblocks counter for you. So you want more claimblocks on East? Go to east, type in the chat /buyclaimblocks <amount>. So keep in mind: Money is global, Claimblocks are not. After you have bought something at the market, go to "Cuno Depot". He has your item. The same goes for an item which you sold. Cuno Depot has your money and is waiting for you. Spoiler Sell items at the market To sell an item at the market, hold your item in your hand. If its one item or you want to sell the whole stack, just do "/market create <prize>". But if you dont want to sell the whole stack and just a few of them, do "market create <prize> <amount>". Which commands can I use in Monster? /spawn /east (west, south) /sethome (/homes, to list all homes) /delhome <name> (to delete homes) /tpa <playername> (its a teleportation request) /tpaccept (for accepting the pending teleportation) /tp deny (to deny pending teleportations) /tps (to check the current performance of the server. 20 is max. times per second) /kits (for donators) /kits shovel (to get a golden shovel for claiming) /banneditems (to look for banned items) /seen <playername> (look when a player was last time online on the Server) /money ( to see your money) /abandonclaim (to get your claimblocks back and "unclaim" it) /claimslist ( to see your claims and your free claimblocks on the Server. Each Server has their own claims and free blocks, usefull if you forgot where your home is!!) /Buyclaimblocks <amount> (1 Mym = 1Claimblock) /sellclaimblocks <amount> /help (to look for commands) /pay <name> <amount> (better be on the same server, because sometimes you dont see the money you have received.) /sent <name> <amount> /ping (use it, to check if the server has a lagg.) /help chat (look for commands to use the mail, and whisper commands) /msg <name> <message> or /tell <name> <message> /menu (for the mym server menu. it has a lot of feature. just check it out. good if you forgot a command) /market (for market commands at spawn) /ticket (for opening a ticket to get help if you have a problem. click on the link. ) What do I do, when the Server is down? Run in circles, and scream as loud as possible. Check the Server Status Join the IRC for more information If all Servers are down, refrain from posting it in the forum and wait for an answer on irc or on the forum. People are working on it, if they are aware of it. If its global, they will be very fast, without your posts. If its just one Server, and no staff was online, it might be an idea, to post it. After they have noticed that the Server is down, you will get notifications about the problem. Like this example below: Spoiler

another way to check the tps is /cofh tps, it gives you detailed information (more detailed than /tps) about where the tps problem is coming from, so you can see if it's your base or not
i know that chugga. But i decided not to add all commands. First just commands you would like to know in the first place. It is not a complete database of all Commands possible. But thanks for the information. edit: but i consider, to add it. edit2: somebody asked me how to see with /cofh tps, if your base has the tps problem. You cant see it with the command, which base is the problem. It will just list all the worlds and their tps and usage on the specific server you are doing the command.
You should also add /AbandonClaim As if you do /delhome it will delete where you have set your home not your claim
